Homeopathy for fertility

Conception, Contraceptives, Homeopathy

This week Martin and Gloria welcomed their homeopathy baby into the world.

I’m thrilled to bits for this gorgeous couple whom I first met 2 years ago.

Gloria had just had surgery to remove a large fibroid and doctors estimated that with her history, it was likely that more would grow.

She’d never been pregnant and at the age of 38, she worried that she was running out of time.

Digging around in Gloria’s past, we discovered that her normal, regular periods suddenly stopped at the age of 23, just after her father passed away.

After 6 months, her GP put her on oral contraceptives to “bring her period back”.

And it worked, at least on a superficial level.  For the next 14 years, Gloria had a medicalised monthly bleed.

Then she and John wanted to start a family.  She came off the pill and waited for the inevitable.

And after a year she was still waiting.

Her periods, once so “normal” were now erratic and incredibly painful.

Endometriosis and fibroids were diagnosed at the same time that John was put on heart medication that caused difficulty ejaculating.

And with heavy hearts they found themselves on my doorstep with a “last chance saloon” state of mind.

For just over a year I treated both of them.

Gloria still carried grief after her father died suddenly.

Grief is enough to stop periods.

Her’s was never dealt with.  Instead it was pushed deeper into her body.

And after 14 years of synthetic hormones in the form of contraceptives, I also had to detox those over a 2 month period.

But while Gloria’s periods became more regular, they were still painful.

So then we addressed her relationship with her menstrual cycle.

Needless to say after her periods had “suddenly given up on me”, then becoming painful AND her inability to get pregnant, she was not only out of touch with her cycle, she was downright resentful of it.

Every time she got her period, it was a stark reminder that yet again she was not pregnant.

So while I still treated her homeopatically, I encouraged her to chart her cycle, all of it, not just her bleeding days.

Gloria was fabulous, she took all my suggestions on board.

She journalled daily, she tracked, we did forgiveness work.

And the more Gloria got in tune with her cycle, the more she came to appreciate it, the easier her periods got.

Then John decided to start treatment with me.

His heart issues included raised blood pressure and headaches.  There was a history of heart problems in the family.

By his own admission, he “felt useless” while they waited to conceive.  “All my friends had kids.  They took the p**s constantly.  I laughed it off but I was gutted”.

It was revealed that John’s ejaculatory problems actually began before he started on the medication.

I was one happy homeopath hearing that.  Now I knew that the problem was more likely emotional than a side effect of medication.

Now THAT I could work with.

John needed 2 consultations only before he started to feel better in himself.

He is currently off his heart medication on the advice of his GP.  He doesn’t need it.

Fast forward to now and we have with one more little person in the world.

There are 2 people coming to terms with sleepless nights, nappy changes, endless feeding, sore nipples and exhaustion induced arguments – and they couldn’t be happier.

Huge gratitude to this family who have allowed me to share their story.

I’ve changed the names.  And I just want you to know that there is always hope.
